The new partnership includes articulation pathways from The new partnership includes Undergraduate Dual Degree programmes from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET)  and Aston University which enables students to secure two degrees within a span of 4 years, as well as progression opportunities from TIET’s Undergraduate degrees into Aston’s Postgraduate courses. These collaborations will enable TIET students to benefit from a globally recognised UK education and enhance their academic and career prospects.

Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology - Progression Partnership

If you are an Undergraduate student at any of the TIET campuses in India, and wish to start your Postgraduate (Masters) journey at Aston University in any discipline, you may apply to any of our Masters programmes via our partnership following the instructions below.
 

Entry requirements 

We have a range of Postgraduate courses available. Most programmes would need a UK 2:2 equivalent grade at the Undergraduate Level. The UK eligibility for each programme can be found on the respective course pages. The Country grade equivalencies can be found on the respective country pages.

You can now easily apply via the Aston Applicant Portal (postgraduate only). Simply apply via the course webpage through the 'apply now' button. You can find support on the application process here.

Required Documents

1. School Standard Xth and XIIth or GCE and A-Level equivalent mark sheets/transcripts
2. College/University semester-wise marksheets/transcripts reflecting all modules with corresponding grades
3. University degree certificate (Provisional Degree certificates are accepted only until 2 years after graduating) OR a Letter of Completion if you have recently completed your studies and are still awaiting your degree certificate.
4. Passport
5. Personal Statement or Statement of Purpose (600 words only)
6. 1 Letter of Recommendation for Postgraduate applications (excluding MBA and MSc Supply Chain Management which requires 2 Letters of Recommendation)
7. CV (if available)
8. If you have a Master's Degree, a 200-word statement telling us why you want to study a second master level programme
9. Any certificates or approvals needed from professional bodies (if your programme asks for it, e.g. for programmes such as MSc Mechanical Engineering, MSc OSPAP, MSc Health Psychology, etc)
10. Any other document that the admissions team might request at the time of assessment of the submitted application

Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology - Dual Degree (India and UK)

Dual Degree (B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering + BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering)

You may apply to study at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, India for 2 Years followed by 2 Years at Aston University, to receive dual degrees at the end of the 4 years of study. Students will receive a B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering degree from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, India and a degree in BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Aston University at the end of the 4 year programme.

You may apply to study at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, India for 2 Years followed by 2 Years at Aston University, to receive dual degrees at the end of the 4 years of study. Students will receive a B.E. Electronics & Computer Engineering degree from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, India and a degree in BEng Electronic Engineering and Computer Science from Aston University at the end of the 4 year programme.

Dual Degree (B.E. Robotics and AI + BSc (Hons) Artificial Intelligence and Robotics)

You may apply to study at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, India for 2 Years followed by 2 Years at Aston University, to receive dual degrees at the end of the 4 years of study. Students will receive a B.E. Robotics and AI degree from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, India and a degree in BSc (Hons) Artificial Intelligence and Robotics from Aston University at the end of the 4 year programme.
