Scholarship applications open on key dates throughout the year, and we will share information on how to apply closer to those dates.

Scholarships for September 2026

Undergraduate

International Community Scholarship (Undergraduate)

The Undergraduate International Community Scholarship is a competitive, application-based award for eligible undergraduate applicants joining Aston University in September 2026.

Value: £5,000, applied to the first year of undergraduate study only.

Deadlines

Early application round:

  • Application: Sunday 10th May (midnight UK time)
  • Scholarship Outcome: Monday 25th May 2026
  • Deposit Payment: Monday 15th June 2026

Final application round:

  • Application: Sunday 5th July (midnight UK time)
  • Scholarship Outcome: Monday 13th July 2026 
  • Deposit Payment: Friday 24th July 2026

Acceptance/confirmation process

  • Once an application round closes, the University will allow up to 14 working days to review and assess applications.
  • Applicants will be notified if they have been awarded a scholarship, subject to conditions.
  • Awarded applicants for the Early Application Round will be given 21 calendar days to pay their tuition fee deposit. 
  • Awarded applicants for the Final Application Round will be given 14 calendar days to pay their tuition fee deposit.
  • Scholarship confirmation occurs only after the applicant has paid their deposit, at which point the award is applied to the student record.

Scholarship value: £10,000 fee reduction

Postgraduate

International Community Scholarship (Postgraduate) 

The International Community Scholarship offers a discount to tuition fees to all international applicants who pay their deposit by a specific date.

  • September Intake: £4,000
  • Pay deposit by the offer acceptance deadline stated in your offer letter

This discount will be automatically subtracted from the tuition fees of those who meet the above criteria, there is no need to apply.

Exclusions - the following programmes will not be subject to this discount:

  • MBA
  • PGDIP/ MSc in Overseas Pharmacy Assessment Programme
  • MSc in Physician Associate Practice
  • MRes programmes
  • Any postgraduate research degree
Sir Adrian Cadbury Chancellor’s Scholarship - £10,000

We offer MBA scholarships to candidates who demonstrate the potential to make a transformational impact on the MBA cohort and a global impact through their subsequent career.

Scholarship value: Gold Scholarship - £12,500

                                  Silver Scholarship - £6,500

Who can apply: Applicants to the Full-Time MBA (in-person, Aston University Birmingham campus

How to apply: You will be invited to an MBA interview. The interview is an opportunity for us to get to know you, and for you to ask us anything about our MBA programme. During the interview we will also assess your suitability for a scholarship. All scholarships are awarded on the basis of a recommendation to an award panel after interview.

Partnerships

These scholarships are for applicants who are articulating or progressing to Aston University through a formally recognised Articulation or Progression Partner Institution. If your institution isn't listed, please apply for the Global Articulation and Progression Scholarship. 

Global Articulation and Progression - £5,000

The Global Articulation and Progression Scholarship supports international students progressing/articulating to Aston University through recognised partner institutions.

This scholarship provides a tuition fee reduction, applied to the first year of study at Aston University, Birmingham.

NCUK

The NCUK Articulation and Progression Scholarship supports international students progressing/articulating from an NCUK pathway programme to continue their studies at Aston University, Birmingham.


The scholarship provides a tuition fee reduction for eligible students progressing/articulating from an NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY), International Year One (IY1), or Master's Preparation programme (MP) and enrolling at Aston University for the September 2026 intake.


The scholarship is competitive and application-based, meaning applicants must submit a scholarship application to be considered. Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee that a scholarship will be awarded. All applications are assessed in line with the published eligibility requirements and scholarship availability. 


Scholarships are applied as a tuition fee reduction to the eligible programme of study and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another programme, applicant, or intake. 


Scholarship values
The available scholarship awards for NCUK students progressing/articulating to Aston University are shown below.

For students progressing/articulating from NCUK International Year One, the scholarship may be awarded across two academic years. Students who meet the continuation requirements during their first year at Aston University may receive a further £5,000 tuition fee reduction in their final year of study.


Continuation of the final-year award requires students to achieve an overall 60% average at first attempt, pass all modules at first attempt, and remain enrolled as an Overseas fee payer. 


How to apply
To be considered for the NCUK Articulation and Progression Scholarship, applicants must complete the scholarship application form after receiving an offer to study at Aston University.


Applicants will be asked to submit a short written statement as part of the application explaining why they should be considered for the scholarship.


Applications are reviewed following the submission deadline. Where the number of eligible applications exceeds the available scholarship allocation, applications will be assessed competitively using the University’s internal evaluation process.

To be eligible for the NCUK Articulation and Progression Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be classified as an Overseas fee payer
  • Hold an offer for a full-time Undergraduate or Postgraduate Taught programme at Aston University, Birmingham
  • Be progressing/articulating directly from one of the following NCUK pathway programmes:
    • NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY)
    • NCUK International Year One (IY1)
    • NCUK Master's Preparation programme (MP)
  • Meet all academic and English language entry requirements
  • Submit a completed scholarship application before the published deadline
  • Pay the required programme deposit and enrol for the September 2026 intake.

The scholarship is open to self-funded international students. Applicants whose studies are fully or partially funded by a sponsor are not normally eligible unless a formal agreement with Aston University confirms eligibility.

North East Forestry University (NEFU) - £5,000

The NEFU Articulation Scholarship supports eligible students progressing to Aston University through the dual-degree partnership between Northeast Forestry University (NEFU) and Aston University.


The scholarship provides a £5,000 tuition fee reduction for students joining Aston University through the approved 3+1 articulation pathway, where students complete three years of study at NEFU before progressing to Aston University to complete the final year of the programme.


This scholarship is automatic and non-competitive. Eligible students do not need to submit a separate scholarship application.


Students progressing through the NEFU partnership route will be informed of the scholarship by their partner institution and the Aston University Partnership Lead. The award is confirmed once the required programme deposit has been paid and becomes active following successful enrolment at Aston University.


Scholarship Value

£5,000 tuition fee reduction BSc (Hons) Construction Project Management


The scholarship is applied as a tuition fee reduction for the single academic year studied at Aston University. The award has no cash value and cannot be transferred or used for accommodation, living expenses, or other costs.


Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Successfully complete the required stage of study at Northeast Forestry University
  • Progress to Aston University through the approved 3+1 articulation agreement
  • Hold an offer for BSc (Hons) Construction Project Management
  • Be classified as an Overseas student for tuition fee purposes
  • Be self-funded
  • Meet all academic and non-academic conditions of their offer

The scholarship is available only to students progressing through the formal articulation pathway and is not available to applicants applying independently outside the agreement.

How the Scholarship Works
Eligible students are identified through the NEFU articulation pathway and informed of the scholarship by their partner institution and the Aston University Partnership Lead.

The scholarship is confirmed once the programme deposit has been paid and is applied to the student record before enrolment. The tuition fee reduction becomes active once the student successfully enrols at Aston University.

If a student withdraws before enrolment, does not enrol, or is unable to obtain a visa, the scholarship will automatically lapse.

Important Information

  • Students may normally hold only one Aston University scholarship per programme.
  • The award applies to one academic year of study only.
  • Sponsored students are not eligible.
  • The scholarship cannot be deferred, transferred, or converted to cash.

OnCampus Aston

OnCampus Aston Merit Scholarships


The OnCampus Aston Merit Scholarships recognise high-achieving international students who progress from OnCampus Aston to study at Aston University, Birmingham.


These scholarships provide a tuition fee reduction of up to £6,000 for eligible students joining Aston University in September 2026.

All scholarships are awarded automatically, based on academic performance. There is no separate application process.


Eligible students will normally be identified through the OnCampus Aston progression process. The scholarship is confirmed once the required tuition fee deposit has been paid and becomes active after successful enrolment at Aston University.

 

OnCampus Aston Progression Scholarships


The value and allocation of the OnCampus Aston Progression Scholarships are determined by OnCampus Aston. Applied as a tuition fee discount, the scholarship awarded by Aston University will match the value of the scholarship awarded to the student by OnCampus Aston during the foundation year.

Students may receive one of the following awards:

Where a student holds both a Progression Scholarship and a Merit Scholarship, the Merit award will act as a top-up to reach the maximum scholarship value.


The maximum total scholarship available to any individual student is £6,000.


Scholarships are applied as a tuition fee reduction for the first academic year at Aston University only.


Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Progress to Aston University from OnCampus Aston (Birmingham campus)
  • Hold an offer for an eligible full-time programme
  • Be classified as an Overseas student for tuition fee purposes
  • Be fully self-funded
  • Successfully complete their OnCampus Aston pathway programme
  • Meet all conditions of their Aston University offer

Scholarships are awarded automatically based on progression status and academic performance within the OnCampus Aston cohort.

The Symbiosis Articulation Merit Scholarship supports high-achieving students progressing to Aston University, Birmingham through the formal dual degree partnership with Symbiosis International University (India).


The scholarship provides a tuition fee reduction for the first year of study at Aston University for eligible students joining the September 2026 intake.


This scholarship is automatic and merit-based. Eligible students do not need to submit a separate scholarship application. Awards are determined based on academic performance achieved at Symbiosis prior to articulation.


Students will normally be informed of the scholarship through Symbiosis and the Aston University Partnership team. The scholarship is confirmed once the required programme deposit has been paid and becomes active after successful enrolment at Aston University.

  • Be self-funded
  • Meet all academic and non-academic conditions of their offer

The scholarship is available only to students progressing through the formal articulation pathway and is not available to applicants applying independently outside the agreement.


How the Scholarship Works
The scholarship follows a structured confirmation process:

  1. Eligibility identification – students progressing through the VN-UK articulation pathway are identified by the partner institution and Aston University.
  2. Partner communication – eligible students are informed of the scholarship by the VNUK Institute and the Aston University Partnership Lead.
  3. Deposit confirmation – payment of the required programme deposit confirms the scholarship.
  4. Student record application – the scholarship is applied to the student record.
  5. Activation – the tuition fee reduction becomes active once the student successfully enrols at Aston University.
