Council and Senate There are two decision-making bodies in the University; these are the Council and Senate. The Council is the University's supreme governing body, responsible for setting its strategic direction and policies, and for the University's finance and assets. The Senate is the highest academic body, responsible for the University's academic policies and for regulating academic work and standards.

Executive and Senior Leadership Team The Vice Chancellors’ Executive meet and is the University's principal management committee responsible for the strategic leadership and management of the University – Terms of Reference
Academic Committee The Academic Assembly which consists of the members of the Academic Staff, Research Staff, Other Related (Teaching) Staff, may discuss and declare an opinion on any matter -affecting the University. A Standing Committee supports the Academic Assembly compliance with its responsibilities within our Ordinances.
Colleges The University has three colleges each has a College Management Team and Forums defined within our Ordinances – Further information is on our College Committees and other Statutory Bodies webpage
