In the heart of Birmingham city, you’ll find Aston University’s single-site campus. As well as all the facilities and resources you could ever need, it's filled with pockets of greenery and spaces to sit and relax in the open air, including the Chancellor’s lake and its geese.

We provide our students with some of the best learning and research environments in the world. From modern lecture theatres and clinics for students to practice in – such as the Aston Brain Centre and Aston Eye Clinic – to a range of specialist laboratories, including our £3.9million virtual reality facility.

A place to meet

Your Students’ Union building is located on campus, just a short walk from Main Building. As well as cafés, bars and shops, the building acts as a focal point for clubs, societies, events and support services. Visit the SU website to find out more.

A place to study

Our library is a beautiful place to study. Its iconic glass façade lets in plenty of natural light, and you can choose between private study areas or flexible meeting pods, which are perfect for group work. The library is open 24/7 during term time, providing flexibility for our early birds and night owls.

A place to hang out

The Aston Coffee Lab in the Main Building, offers students, staff and visitors wholesome food that tastes good and does good. Whether you’re relaxing with a freshly ground coffee or picking up a sandwich on the go, we’ve got whatever you need, exactly when you need it. If you fancy a social drink with friends, we have two pubs on site – The Gosta Green and Sacks of Potatoes – as well as our bar and restaurant, the Lounge, which can be found in the Students’ Union building.

A place to work out

Sport Aston is the go-to place to get fit, stay fit and most importantly have fun working out and enjoying the range of facilities we have to offer. The centre has a fully-functional gym, multiple studios and sports courts alongside Birmingham’s oldest, but most stunning operational swimming pool.

A place to reflect

The Martin Luther King Multi-Faith Centre sits in the centre of campus and caters for those of all faiths or of none. The Chaplaincy team is experienced at listening and offering pastoral and spiritual guidance, prayer, support and friendship to all – regardless of background.

A place in the second city

Whether you’re a newcomer or a born-and-bred Brummie, you’ll never get bored of exploring our city. Packed with culture, creativity and top-notch cuisine, as well as being home to one of the youngest populations in Europe, we’re confident you’ll fit right in.

A place of safety

We have an award-winning security service on campus who are looking out for your welfare 24/7. Additionally, our SafeZone app is designed to keep students safe on campus and provides a direct link to our security team.

A place to unwind

Although we’re located in the city centre, our campus is lined with trees and has plenty of green spaces. We have a lake and fountains for when you need a change of pace and a place to relax. You can also find a range of art on campus for you to explore.
