Aston University strengthens global reputation with top 20 ranking for online MBA course
  • Aston Business School named amongst the top 20 schools globally in Financial Times online MBA rankings
  • It is the first time the MBA programme has been included in the FT rankings
  • Recognition reflects the strength of MBA offering as Aston Business School.

Aston Business School has been named amongst the top 20 schools globally in the Financial Times online Master of Business Administration (MBA) rankings 2026.

This marks the first time the programme has been included in the FT rankings, representing an important milestone for Aston Business School.

The recognition is based on the strength of the MBA course offering and supports the school’s ambitions to achieve greater international recognition for its educational excellence.

Aston Business School is already part of an elite group of global business schools that hold the gold standard of ‘triple-crown’ accreditation from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS. It follows an excellent performance in the 2025 Eduniversal Business School Rankings, where it was placed 11th in the UK.

Professor Marian Garcia, executive dean of Aston Business School, said:

“It is great to see another success story for Aston Business School, this time in the Financial Times Online MBA rankings.

“Our business programmes at Aston University continue to attract excellent candidates from around the world, and these rankings are a testament to our students' success and the quality of our teaching.”

Aston Business School was also recently named amongst the top 100 in the 2025 Financial Times (FT) European Business Schools ranking.

The European classification was based on a business school’s performance in a number of other Financial Times' rankings over the last 12-month period.

The University’s Executive Education programme achieved a notable standing, placing 81st worldwide, while the full-time MBA also delivered strong results, ranking 41st in Europe. Aston University’s Executive MBA (EMBA) graduates reported positive career growth, earning an average salary of $170,735 (£129,395) just three years after completing the programme – a 47% increase compared to their pre-course earnings.
